Project Overview

Project Info

Client: Notion Xpress

Type: Custom Habit Tracker Notion System

Timeline: 21 Feb 2024 – 27 Feb 2024

The client approached me to design a clean and visually structured Notion system to help her manage and track her daily habits with clarity and consistency. She needed a workspace that made routine tracking simple, motivating, and visually engaging. The purpose of the system was to centralize her AM and PM routines, monitor progress across multiple habit categories, and view performance trends in one organized environment.

Based on the visuals, the project included a main Habit Tracker dashboard, detailed AM and PM routine pages, category-based progress analytics, and a tips section to support better habit-building practices. Each page was designed for effortless daily updates and long-term tracking.

Client Challenges

Before this custom system, the client struggled with scattered habit notes and an inconsistent tracking method. Her previous setup lacked a structured dashboard, clear progress indicators, and a unified way to log AM and PM routines. This made it difficult for her to stay consistent, review her progress, and identify patterns in her daily habits. She needed a visually intuitive solution that organized habits by time, category, and progress while remaining easy to update.

Goals

The client wanted a system that streamlined her daily routines and encouraged consistent habit tracking. She aimed to visually separate her AM and PM habits, understand her performance across different categories such as Self Care, Health and Wellness, Productivity, and Personal Growth, and use a dashboard that presented quick insights at a glance. She also wanted a setup that kept her motivated through progress percentages and habit views that made tracking feel rewarding.

Requirements

The system required a main Habit Tracker dashboard, individual pages for AM and PM routines, a central database of daily habits, and progress-by-category analytics. The dashboard needed to include gallery views for routines, list and table views for habit performance, and category-based progress bars. The system also needed supporting content such as habit tips and embedded reminders, all integrated into a single workspace. No external automations were visible, but the structure implied manual daily check-ins and database-driven calculation formulas for progress.

Design Steps

Home Dashboard

The dashboard serves as the central hub, showcasing AM and PM routines in a gallery format with habit lists and time slots. A tips section provides guidance for better tracking habits, and category progress cards offer quick performance insight. The Daily Habits database at the bottom lets the client view habits in both list and table formats with progress percentages. This layout gives her a full overview within seconds.

AM Routine

The AM page provides a simple view of all morning habits along with their progress percentages. It includes habits such as Cold Shower, Daily Journal, Drink Water, Affirmations, and Focused Work. The page stays clean, focused, and synced with the main database for easy updates.

2

PM Routine

The PM page lists evening habits like Gym, Reading, Meditating, Focused Work, and Affirmations, each with progress indicators. Its minimal layout helps the client review and update her nightly routine quickly, fully connected back to the dashboard.
